My entire identity was built on being “strong” and “resilient.”

I was the “everyday hero“—always productive, always available, always serving others. In a world that trains us to be results-machines, I totally underestimated my own need to recharge. There was always someone else who needed my help and support.

But who cares for the superheroes? Who helps them when they can’t bear all the burdens alone?

 This led me to the questions I now ask you:

  • How many of us dare to step out of the “hero” role when we feel we need to stop, to pause, and to reflect?
  • How easy is it to strip down that identity and say “NO” to expectations?
  • How easy is it to admit that you are betraying yourself?

My body forced the pause I refused to take. There is no universal manual for what makes you YOU. Every day challenges that connection.

My recovery wasn’t just physical. It was a process of completely rebuilding the connection between my mind and body. I had to regain my power in all its forms: physical, emotional, spiritual, and ultimately, my business power.

I never thought that my professional background, my experience with others, would help spot the patterns and that my training would help me grow back faster and even stronger. 

 From a Hero to Zero with a blink of an eye

Now, imagine this happens to the human beings in your organization

  • Start with the data: Recent studies show 73% of leaders report feeling exhausted. The cost to replace a single burned-out senior executive can be as high as 200% of their salary.
